STATE OF VERMONT: Doing Business with Veterans Affairs (VA)

State of Vermont issued the following announcement on Oct. 30.

A procurement small business specialist from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will join the Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center (VT PTAC) for a presentation of the VA's procurement needs within the Network Contracting Office 1 (NCO1), New England Region. A representative from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will also be available to discuss federal programs. This free workshop will take place at the WRJ VA Medical Center in White River Junction, Vermont on November 21, 2019.

Valerie J. DeAngelis, Procurement Analyst Small Business Specialist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO1, will present the VA’s procurement strategies to purchase a variety of its supply products and services, as well as a forecast of upcoming 2020 projects for the region.

“Educating small businesses on doing business with the Federal Government in general and VA in particular, is the best way for them to learn about opportunities and attain awards,” said DeAngelis. “Federal government contracting is dynamic and ever changing. Knowledge is the key for small businesses to navigate the vast array of regulations and statutes that govern how we award contracts.”

All businesses with an interest in learning more about doing business with the VA are encouraged to participate. You do not have to be a Veteran or Disabled-Veteran-owned business to provide products and services to the VA or to join us for this workshop.
