Poultney Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
It won’t be long and producers of Vermont’s delicious maple syrup products will be at work once again tapping their maple trees to collect sap. Poultney Area Chamber of Commerce always looks forward to celebrating the maple season with many activities held; this year during Maplefest 2019!
This year’s celebration of the beginning of the spring season in Vermont will be held in Poultney on Saturday, March 23rd. The collective schedule of events which features businesses, crafters, non-profits, civic groups and others continues to grow.
Currently, the Chamber is taking sign-ups for the Big Craft Fair which will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 23rd at Poultney High School. Inside spaces are first come, first serve. We encourage craft vendors to sign up early because spaces won’t last long! For an application for the Big Craft Fair, Chamber member contact is Trish Peschl at Keyser Energy (Bixby’s) at 802-287-5512.
Already on the Maplefest 2019 schedule are the: Big Craft Fair; pancake breakfast; story hour at Poultney Public Library; horse and wagon rides; dinner at Young At Heart Senior Center; prince and princess art contest; tree tapping on the Green Mountain College lawn and crowning of the prince and princess; bag sale; and Sugar House Open House tours. Sugar houses are listed free of charge on the Map. The Chamber invites other businesses, organizations, churches, schools and civic groups to sponsor an event too. Let the Chamber know soon how you will participate so we may add you to our map and events schedule. Contact Nina at the Chamber: 802-287-2010 or email: email@example.com.
As well as the many Maplefest 2019 events held on Saturday March 23rd, many sugar houses will additionally be open on Sunday, March 24th.
